15 unspoken rules of courtesy that everyone should adhere to
Times
are changing. A lot of the rules in our society, that were once very
rigid, are now something that we hardly pay heed to. But while some
rules and regulations, on what might be considered as good behavior,
are obsolete now; there still exists a bunch of unspoken ones that
one needs to adhere to.
These
are rules that have a lot to do with commitment, gratitude, privacy
and general courtesy.
1.
When you borrow someone's car, fill up the tank as a way of saying
thank you.
2. Make sure that you don't forget to return that book you borrowed.
3. In case you miss a call, drop a message as soon as possible if you're unable to call.
4. When using someone's phone or computer, don't go through his stuff without permission.
5. Don't break up with someone over text messages.
6. Always leave the last piece for the person who bought it unless he insists he won't eat it.
7. Don't use speaker phone to have a two-person conversation unless your hands are unable to hold the phone.
8. Turn the volume down when you're watching a video or playing a game on your phone in a public place, or better yet, use headphones.
9. When someone else cooks for you, offer to help clean up the kitchen.
10. Don't let your arguments escalate in public, find someplace else to continue arguing where others won't feel uncomfortable.
11. If you stay the night at someone's house, make the bed or fold the blankets when you leave.
12. Pay back borrowed money as soon as possible no matter how little the amount is. Don't assume that they don't need it and never make them ask you for it.
13. If you ask your friends for help with some housework, feed them as payment.
14. When someone buys you food or drinks, try to return the favour within a week.
15. Don't smoke when someone around you is visibly uncomfortable.

Kie hopes all the social courtesy mentioned will make us a better
person.
