I got mad when some students in Form 4C cheated in their final exam last October. While checking Paper 1, I noticed that a few scripts for the directed writing were similar!  It happened when a bright student in that class passed her composition to her friends. Not just to one friend, but 4 of them! I realised that they did copy the composition blindly as the spelling for the word 'sweep' was written as 'sweap'!  Look at the print shot above.


So, I punished all the culprits by reducing their marks. I should have given them a zero in the first place but I still had some sympathy for them. Or else, some of them would have failed the English paper! What annoyed me was how they managed to pass around their answer scripts without being caught by the invigilator?
